The conditions of entry of citizens of other states to Ukraine
Visa-free regime is established in Ukraine for citizens of (if the period of their stay in Ukraine does not exceed 90 days):
• Members of the European Union
• Russian Federation
• Switzerland
• Japan
• USA
• Canada
• Liechtenstein
• Principality of Andorra
• States Vatican City
• Iceland
• Monaco
• Norway
• Republic of San Marino
• Republic of Korea
The registration duration is: for people with visa-free entry — 90 days, for people with visa requirement — the duration of visa, but no more than 6 months.
Rules of entry to Ukraine of citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus
Required documents:
• an internal or foreign passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation (notarized photocopy of passport documents, birth certificates, visas are not given the right to cross state borders.)
• Minor Russian citizens (aged 14 years or less) cross the border on the basis of birth certificate. When traveling without parents the accompanying person must have an original of notarized authorization of both parents (or guardians). If a child travels with one parent an accompanying parent must have an original notarized authorization of the other parent.
The citizens of other CIS countries will need a passport to enter Ukraine. However, the visa is not necessary.
The rules of entry to Ukraine for EU citizens
Required documents:
• passport
when crossing the state border a tourist gets a free of charge Immigration card and at the passport control the stamp is made on the card. The card is divided into two parts, one of which (Departure) is kept by a foreign citizen for the whole period of stay on the territory of Ukraine. The Departure part is returned to border guards when leaving the country at checkpoints on the state border of Ukraine. Registration stamp is made only in immigration card for foreigners who cross the border with internal passports. Loss of Immigration card does not entail any penalties. In case of loss Arrival part of immigration card will be restored using a single computer system and the citizen will be free to move on.
• The document for crossing the border by a child is his birth certificate. Children from the age of 14 also receive the immigration card.
Rules of entry to Ukraine of citizens of other states
A rough list of necessary documents:
• you need to provide the consular department with a passport, valid for at least 45 more days, with 2 empty pages for visa
• completed visa application form
• document that confirms the nature of a trip to Ukraine, namely travel a voucher of one of the tourist enterprises of Ukraine.
